Burley D’Light

Burley trailers have come along way in the past few years. The company has changed over the years along with the customers needs and wants and we are happy to report the product is  evolving to new standards.

You can see the full specs of the trailers on Burley’s website. We would like to show you “the how they do it” of the main features on a Burley D’light. Every year when we start to pull the new trailers from the boxes it seams to get easier and easier to assemble them. Every “I wish they did……” has been checked off our list.

: Short assembly time, and improved assembly and fold design

Nutcase Helmets

We have been carrying Nutcase helmets for a bit now, but some of you may not have heard the story and know they are local.

Nutcase Helmets, of Portland Oregon, are multi-purpose cycle, skateboard, inline and scooter helmets aimed at providing unique designs and creative alternatives in the cycle and skate helmet market. Launched in the spring of 2005, Nutcase is sold throughout the United States in Sporting Goods and Outdoor Specialty stores. Their designs are original, unique and very imaginative. We need your help to locate a stolen 2010 bicycle – a new white, red, black Felt Virtue 1. It was stolen between 5-6 pm on Wednesday, June 16 off of a bike stand in the repair area of our shop. We believe it was a tag team operation (shop person kept busy while a second took the bike) This is a one off build so it should be easy to spot.

New Bike Maps!

The new Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation trail maps are in! These maps show the paths and trails located in the THPRD district and beyond. Each trail system has a description, round trip distance and directions to the starting point.  The best part about this map is, it’s Free!

New Bike There maps are also in. The best map for cycling in and around Portland and Vancouver. This map shows all the best routes, roads and caution areas that you should know about. It also shows where all the bike shops and transit centers are.  Bike There maps are going for $9 and are one of the most comprehensive guides to cycling in and around Portland.

Some examples of what you will see.

Travoy Video

As a follow up to our Travoy introduction here is a great video Burley shot about it. Feel free to stop in and give it a try, we have 2 instock with both bag options.

S-Works 2011 Sneak Peek!

We ran across a video yesterday that seems to contain some spy footage of what Specialized has planned for the 2011 S-Works Tarmac and Roubaix.

We are tentatively titling these the “eTarmac” and “eRoubaix”.  Specialized’s Marketing Department is a little more creative than we are (although Matt does hold a Marketing degree – we think he got it online from Kyrgystan), so they may have a better name than that.

Weights and prices are yet to be determined; but we can guarantee that you’ll be faster – and possibly capable of winning a Grand Tour!  We’re guessing the top end model will be equipped with Dura Ace Di2: making it fully electric!

Too bad it’s not April 1…  😛
