Just in: 2011 Dolce Elite
We’re really excited about this bike for the coming season.
The Dolce is Specialized’s tried-and-true womens-specific aluminum road bike with proven comfort and confident handling. For 2011, the Elite level model is coming with SRAM’s new Apex group; delivering the intuitive and precise shifting and reach adjustable ergonomics SRAM is known for at a competitive price point. Apex also offers the broadest range of gears that can be found with a compact-double crankset which means you shouldn’t be left searching for gears no matter the terrain you’re riding. We’re really impressed with the performance of this “value” group set.
Dependable 32 spoke Mavic rims, Specialized’s carbon fork with vibration damping Zerts elastomers, short reach handlebars, and a Specialized BG Riva saddle round out the build kit. What’s the best part? This show-stopper sells for $1299! I would put it up against bikes over $1500 without question. If you’re looking for a road bike under $2000 – the Elite (Dolce or it’s brother the Allez Elite) is worth your time.
